Good communication is critical for a successful medical practice. At Medical Management Support Services we work as a partner with the practices we serve. Our goal is that clients can have their finger on the pulse of their practice while knowing their billing team is managing their accounts and their patients with skill. Since we provide medical billing services for multiple specialties we know that each practice has their own style and way of communicating. This can even vary within a practice. Whether you prefer a phone call, text, email, video conference, or personal meeting we have solutions to fit your communication style. There are many good options for instant communication there is no reason for a practice to feel disconnected from their billing service. Our goal is to become the business office for each practice we serve and for clients to feel as connected to us as they would be their own staff. We receive information from our clients in many ways including direct HL7 data feeds, fax, secure email, or even logging into client systems to retrieve information. Once we receive demographic information and charge information including procedure and diagnosis codes we pursue the services until they are a zero balance. We prevent denials as much as possible but when there are items that need clarification we do not hesitate to reach out to the practice for assistance. Each month we provide reports that show the performance of the practice in a way that is easy to understand. Information is needed for many different parts of each practice and we create custom reports or provide direct access to help keep everyone supplied with the information that they need to know.

No one likes collecting surprise bills. We recognize that the only reason our services exist is because payment from insurance carriers is complex. We help the practices we serve to setup effective lines of communication to estimate patient balances, receive accurate patient information, and avoid surprises for patients. Avoiding surprises helps patients resolve their medical bills. Once we receive information we pursue all balances whether due from insurance or the patient. We send patient statements that are easy to read and have our trained staff available to help patients with any questions they might have. When pursuing patient balances we recognize that how we treat patients is an extension of their medical care. We also have options for online patient bill payment, electronic statements, automated payment plans, and balance reminder calls to patients.
